Chicagoland Smile Group is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to join its corporate support center team. CSG operates multiple locations in the Chicagoland area and is pursuing a strategy to grow via a combination of add-on acquisitions and organic growth initiatives over time. CSG is a portfolio company of a middle-market, healthcare focused private equity firm and plans to significantly expand the size of its network in the Chicagoland and surrounding areas.


The Regional Operations Manager is directly responsible for providing operational leadership, direction and administration to assigned dental practices of Chicagoland Smile Group. This role will ensure operational and financial effectiveness through its Office Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit offices within the area (local travel required) and hold weekly meetings with the team leads (office managers and managing dentist) to review operational strengths and coach on operational improvements and initiatives
  • Utilize metrics, dashboards, operational checklists and key performance indicators to drive optimal office performance
  • Convey and affirm the mission, vision, and values of CSG to affiliated offices
  • Act as a liaison for the providers to relay any clinical, operational or other issues the providers may have via appropriate channel
  • Meet with the Regional VP Operations weekly to provide recommendations and insights
  • Effectively communicate and provide performance and operational feedback on each office to the executive team
  • Ensure each office’s physical condition and appearance is consistent with CSG operating standards and compliant with OSHA and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Endure office managers have all staff members complete necessary and mandated training and continuing education requirements
  • Train office managers on customer service principles to help ensure patient flow and satisfaction
  • Review office net promoter score reports weekly and follow up on patient issues with office personnel and directly with patients, where appropriate
  • Explain and manage the financial statements for an office providing specific coaching to the office managers to manage variable expenses
  • Ensure office managers are compliant with financial policies working closely with them on the monthly and actual budgets
  • Assist the office managers in organizing and aligning the offices staff around key priorities and goals Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing several dental offices with the adaptability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast pace and evolving work environment; strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with Dentrix Enterprise preferred
  • Experience with managing budgets, delivering information from finance statements and delivering strong results within a growth oriented organization
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
